I support people in discovering the connection between body, mind and spirit. With my sensitivity, I invite you to feel at ease and relaxed in your body; through touch to deepen and welcome what comes your way of self-care. Within this inner connection, a quiet space opens up where your sense of well-being can be restored. By nature, I am caring, calm and finely attuned to whatever presents itself. I also guide awareness of the breath as an essential factor to increase flow and spaciousness in your body, as a way to release tensions and soothe fixed patterns.
In a safe environment, you will receive a full body massage with gentle and/or firm touch. My technique is a mixed flow from the classical Swedish method combining hand strokes such as effleurage, petrissage and tapotement. I involve the feet, neck, head and - if desired - facial massage. I work with Songbird massage wax balms: a New Zealand-made beeswax formula that provides excellent grip on the skin and is enriched with deeply relaxing essential oils.
A Dutch-Aotearoa New Zealand citizen, I grew up in the Netherlands, India and New Zealand within a holistic outlook on life, which included many informal massage experiences. With a natural affinity for the healing arts, I have studied Reiki, Ayurveda, Yoga and Buddhism. After more than 20 years in hospitality and festival management, I found my calling in holistic massage-a path that brings body and brain into harmony!
In 2022, I completed my formal training at Holistic Health Training (hht.co.nz). Since 2023, I have worked as a professional masseur at Koukoulee.com on Waiheke Island, N.Z. - a boutique wellness studio - and as a freelancer in Greece, before returning to Amsterdam after 16 years. Here, I started a whole new chapter in my life, while working as a receptionist at Koan Float. This is ongoing to support my further training in Deep Tissue, Foot Reflexology (I love massaging feet!) and Somatic modules.
